Are They Still There?
2008, four video projections on screens, plastic objects
he Installation was made for the exhibition "Otočka Karta" (Island Map) in Zagreb. The show used the island of Zlarin as its starting point and fourteen artists visited it and produced works about what they saw on the island.
"Are They Still There?" consisted of four videos that were projected onto hanging screens. Each video showed the wall of a house with a window. Occasionaly a person would appear at the window and look out. The space was filled with plastic chairs, air filled matreses and boats, plastic buckets... the usual junk people carry to the beach. The people in the windows never left their houses. They just checked who is still there.
